1.0
Our website opened March 15, 2001 and this was our first
layout. Brian was the creator.
The orange and purple seemed like a good idea at the time, but it
looks too much like Halloween.
You can see the birthday graphic Brian made for Courtnee here as
well. |
Version
2.0
This layout is much better than the first. The navigation
bar is done in Flash MX and was a nice touch.
This layout wasn't up for long because Jason Smith joined the site
and we wanted to do something new. |
Version
3.0
Jason and Brian worked together on version 3. Jason made
the top image and Brian did the navigation and coding of the page.
This is one of the best navigation bars we've made with Flash MX.
It's simple but works very well with the look of the site. |
Version
4.0
Here we have the first layout made by Jane Tomash for this site. She
joined the staff shortly after Jason had to step down.
This is one of the favorites amoung our staff and visitors. |
Version
5.0
Again, this layout was created by Jane. Brian did the coding.
This is one of the sexier layouts that we have done. Looking back,
the text should have been some other color than white. But the overall
look was very nice! |
Version
6.0
This layout was very fun. It was again created by our talented artist,
Jane.
This is also one of our more popular layouts. It's the one Courtnee
and her mom saw when they first visited us! |
Version
7.0 Main
Another layout created by Jane. This one served us well for quite
a while. It was the first to have a seperate layout for the gallery.
You can view that below.
|
Version
7.0 Gallery
This was our first gallery layout that was seperate from the main
one. This allowed us to organize the pictures better.
|
Version
8.0 Main
Created by Jane, this layout was the result of needing to add the messageboards
to the site. It was a nice layout with the collage and all. We had a
thing for the color green at the time it was created. :) |
Version
8.0 Gallery
We liked the idea of having a seperate layout for the gallery.
It's such a big part of the site it's worth the extra effort. This one
featured then new pictures from Courtnee's appearance on Tru Calling.
|
Version 9.0 Main
This layout turned out extremely well. We actually used it
for much longer than usual. Partly because we liked it and partly
because life got crazy and we couldn't take time to change it. :)
|
Version 9.0 Gallery
This is the gallery layout, about the same thing as the main
layout but different pics and navigation. It wasn't as organized as
it should have been but wasn't that bad.
|
Version
10.1 Main
A layout we used for a very long time. This one is classy and stylish.
It got to be a bit out dated so it had to be changed eventually.
It's also the fist time we've used "skins" which allow
the user to choose their favorite layout.
|
Version
10.2 Main
With the ability to skin the site, our users could choose thier favorite
layout and the site would remember it between visits. This is our other
option. A little brighter in design, it used pictures of Courtnee as
a young child to create a playful layout. |
Version
10 Gallery
We found that we could use a database driven photo gallery to better
organize our pictures. We modified the Coppermine Gallery to meet our
needs here. It actually matched the 10.2 skin of the main site much
better than 10.1 did. |
Version
11
This time around we wanted to do something a bit different and a little
more complex and up-to-date. It worked great although it was a bit on
the dark side. We used the same gallery layout as Version 10. |
